AUTHENTIC DUESENBERG "J" CHASSIS COMPRISED PRIMARILY OF ORIGINAL FACTORY PARTS. IN 1936 THIS CAR WAS IN AN ACCIDENT AND THE BODY WAS DESTROYED. A DRAWING OF A BOAT-TAIL SPEEDSTER DESIGNED BY GORDON BUEHRIG WAS DISCOVERED, AND THE OWNER OF THE ENGINE AND CHASSIS DECIDED TO HAVE THAT BODY PUT ONTO THE FRAME OF THE (2327) DUESENBERG, THIS OCCURRED AROUND 1938. IT WAS THEN AND REMAINS NOW - THE ONLY DUESENBERG BOAT-TAIL SPEEDSTER EVER BUILT. THE CAR REMAINED OUT OF SIGHT FOR MORE THEN 35 YEARS. IT WAS DISCOVERED BY MR. ED LUCAS WHO PURCHASED THE CAR AND SPENT ALMOST 30 YEARS RESTORING IT TO ITS PRESENT CONDITION, USING ONLY ORIGINAL PARTS.

THE DUEDENBERG FACTORY BUILT THIS CHASSIS AS THEY DID WITH EVERY DUESENBERG, THE ORIGINAL BODY ON THE CHASSIS WAS A ROLLSTON CONVERTIBLE VICTORIA. IT RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL CHASSIS (2327). THE MURPHY SILLS ARE BELIEVED TO BE ORIGINAL AND REMAIN ON THE CAR.

ALL LETTERS OF AUTHENTICATION, INSPECTIONS AND A COPY OF BUEHRIG'S ORIGINAL DESIGN WILL ACCOMPANY THE CAR. THIS BOAT-TAIL SPEEDSTER IS STILL ONE OF THE BEST RESTORED DUESENBERGS IN THE WORLD. IT IS AS NEAR PERFECT AS A DUESENBERG CAN GET. MORE IMPORTANTLY IT IS TRULY ONE OF A KIND!
